Governor's Juvenile Justice Commission - Annual Reports

The Governor's Juvenile Justice Commission (GJJC) serves as the State Advisory Group (SAG) required by the federal Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA).

GJJC members are comprised of juvenile justice professionals-including county juvenile intake workers, District Attorneys, Judges, non-profit organizations dedicated to youth programming-youth members, and individuals experienced with the juvenile justice system.

The gubernatorial appointed commission advises DOJ on its juvenile justice programs and funding decisions, and serves as an independent forum to discuss juvenile justice policy issues. The GJJC also assists with the development of a statewide strategic juvenile justice improvement plans and need assessments-which drive priority setting and strategic investment of federal dollars.
